1926 Herreshoff S Class Firefly (sold)

Firefly is actively sailed and race-ready, with a distinguished record including regular championship wins in the competitive Narragansett Bay fleet. She appears in numerous renowned photographs and is featured on the cover of “Setting Sail In America,” the definitive S Class book!

At 27.5', 6750lbs, and 4'9" draft S boats are brilliantly balanced and a true delight to helm, whether enjoying a sunset sail in a zephyr or confidently racing in sporty conditions.

Firefly was launched in 1926 and first sailed in the Bar Harbor, Maine fleet with sail number 7. She continues under the same name and sail number. The boat is structurally sound and has been attentively maintained by some of the renowned craftsmen at Mt. Hope Boatworks, Narragansett Shipwrights, East Passage Boatwrights, and LMI:
